Association Between COVID-19 Vaccination and Polymyalgia Rheumatica: A Review and Case Series Report
This preprint study examines the relationship between autoimmune disease and spike protein antibody levels. It uses data from the CDC, FDA, and VAERS, comparing COVID-19 vaccination results to those from earlier types of vaccinations, specifically for cases of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), just one type of autoimmune disorder.
PMR is an autoimmune inflammatory disease that causes severe muscle pain and debilitating stiffness.
This study finds:
- A dramatic increase in the incidence of debilitating PMR in the COVID-vaccinated group, many times higher than the controls.
The paper also describes three specific case studies as illustrations of the patient experience in real terms.
