Accumulating Wealth
There are a number of ways players can make money on our servers; it's just a matter of finding out which ones suit your playstyle and produce the most fun for you:
1. Work Orders: These are a great way to generate cash while you are leveling up your skill set. A variety of contracts are available for different skill levels, from brand new players (using provided materials) to experienced players who can earn more by traveling or doing more complex jobs.
Work Orders are available in the Cedar Bay Lodge office in Bridgeport.
2. Foraging: You can often find coins while foraging for supplies anywhere on the servers that have probably been dropped accidentally by players or NPCs who have had an unfortunate encounter with some aggressive creature.
3. Mining: While mining, you will often find gems. These can bring in a sizeable amount of cash when sold to the Gem Trader in the town of Riddleridge. One or two towns on other servers may also have a Gem Trader.
4. Treasure Chests: There are random (albeit relatively rare) treasure chests scattered about the world with coins or goods you can claim while exploring.
5. Treasure Maps: While working in the world terraforming, mining, fishing, or hunting you may find a Treasure Map. These are great ways to get cash and other items (often quite rare or high level), but depending on the map quality you may need help dealing with the creatures who are undoubtedly guarding the treasure.
6. Trade With Other Players: Of course, trading with other players is always an option to exchange your goods for gold or materials you require. While Bridgeport offers many supplies (especially in quantity), there is no reason players can't make their own deals among themselves when convenient.
7. Sell To Buyer Merchants: You can sell items to specific buyer merchants sponsored by players who are looking for specific materials, such as the hide and leather trader in Bridgeport.
8. Bulk Supplies: If you're a workaholic, Bridgeport will generally buy bulk items in unsorted crates of 300 for warehousing in order to resell them to players when needed in the future. See Bridgeport Bulk Supplies for more information and speak with Farnsworth to arrange a sale.
9. Sell To Your Settlement Token: If you need to raise a small amount of cash quickly, sometimes you can sell very low value items to your settlement token for a few iron.
