Tics are sudden, involuntary incidents, which in these cases can result in uncontrolled movements or vocalizations.

This study suggests that Thimerosal may increase involuntary movements and vocalizations as the child gets older.
However, the study also reported better performance on some neurological tests for those exposed in utero and up to 7 months after birth, which makes me question the validity of this study. And I would only be mildly surprised if some enterprising pharmaceutical agent were to call for mercury supplementation during that time because of it, which of course I would consider ridiculous.
