AR-15 Defends Home

You have probably heard of many cases in which an assault rifle "killed" some innocent victim. Here's a case where an assault rifle protected a man's home and family.

On April 19, 2013, a couple were talking to each other outside their apartment in a Philadelphia suburb. A 32-year-old stranger approached them, behaving as though he was high on drugs. The couple became alarmed, and when they tried to retreat to their home, the man forced his way in. The male apartment owner ran to grab his AR-15 (legally owned) and ordered the intruder to leave. However, the stranger kept advancing even though the gun was leveled at him and the owner kept shouting "Stop!"

The owner finally fired one shot, hitting the intruder in the torso. The man, who it was later learned was awaiting trial for aggravated assault, died after being taken to the hospital by ambulance.
