How to Control Guns
History shows us that there are a number of ways to effectively disarm citizens. Because the U.S. Constitution prohibits outright banning of armaments, and while there is still some respect for that founding document, subterfuge must be used instead. This involves, of course, strenuously denying that anyone has any intent to take away the law-abiding citizen's right to bear arms.
However, there are more than enough gun control supporters who aren't sticking with the program and cheerfully admit that their aim is to make private gun ownership a thing of the past. Government entities are becoming bolder about asserting their power to confiscate guns. From the police that forcefully grabbed guns from little old ladies during hurricane Katrina, to a proposed ordinance in Alabama that authorizes police to confiscate weapons from homeowners if a tornado hits.
