Gulf War Syndrome and Vaccinations While Deployed
This study looked at vaccines received prior to versus during deployment.
The study looked at six health outcomes:
- fatigue
- psychological distress
- post-traumatic stress reaction
- health perception
- physical functioning
When a soldier came to the service having already been vaccinated, the only correlation found was with post-traumatic stress syndrome. However, if the vaccines were received during deployment, the other categories of symptoms increased.
