Server Rules
Our vision for this server cluster is slightly different than most. Our hope is that anyone who chooses to join (brand new OR veteran players) will enjoy a slower pace, taking time in the starting area, and most importantly, to embrace an economy based on trade, traveling, and interacting with the server community.
The Guidelines
- Be polite and don't grief other players.
- Feel free to ask questions in the global chat. Players new to Wurm should not hesitate to ask for help or tips; we generally enjoy helping out when we can.
- Work orders are available in Bridgeport to help you gain cash and to replenish supplies for many projects on which we are working. Please take advantage of them.
- Please don't use the green work order crates unless you are working on the order associated with them.
- We are striving for a market economy, something that is very difficult for Wurm Unlimited servers. That's why we don't have a high skill gain factor; you should concentrate on your chosen profession(s) and obtain items that you need from other players or vendors via purchase or trade.
- Bridgeport has a number of low-level tools for new players to use, generally placed on tables or in racks. Feel free to use them, but please try to remember to put them back when you're done so that others can use them as well. There are usually better quality items for sale by the vendors for those who need tools but aren't skilled in the areas required to create them. If not, ask & someone will probably be able to create something for you.
- When outside your deed, please clean up after yourself: bury carcasses, pick up mined shards, leftover logs, etc.
- Please try to avoid founding settlements that include existing roads or mines or other structures that are used by other players. If you absolutely must deed across a road, you will need to set your lead animal permissions so that players don't lose control of their animals if they happen to dismount on the road.
- Currently, we ask that you limit your deed size to 1600 tiles on Riddleridge and Watercrest. This limitation does not apply to Riverland, which has lots of wide open spaces.
- We prefer mines to be on your settlement, but if you create a mine that is not on your deed, it must be open to everyone, i.e. no locked entrances. GMs reserve the option of shutting down undeeded mines that appear to be abandoned or not in the public interest.
- If you create any roads off your deed, be aware that our road maintenance crew reserves the right to bring it up to server standards, re-route parts of it, or eliminate it completely.
