People Who Defer to Others' Opinions
People are busy. They need to prioritize their time, and when something comes up that is not a high priority for them (for whatever reason) they will generally defer to someone they deem an expert, or at least speaks with passion on the subject.
While you can't really blame people for focusing on their own priorities, these are Karl Marx's useful idiots, who can be easily bent to the will of skilled manipulators. Unfortunately, all of us fit into this category with respect to some aspect of our life; it becomes dangerous when it happens in an area that truly is very important and we don't recognize it.
Another type of useful idiot is the apathetic, who may not really care at all (thus is not truly a gun-control advocate) but does nothing to speak up for his own or others' rights.
