Take Guns from Everyone
Wouldn't it be nice if nobody had guns? If policemen walked their beat with only a smartly-pressed uniform and twinkle in their eye?
Everybody would be happy and no one would ever get mad or hurt again.
Okay, there probably are only a miniscule number of people who fall into this category, but the argument (or at least the inference) seems to come up often. I really don't know how to respond to people who seem to be on the verge of telling me that My Little Ponies never needed guns!*
But to the otherwise seemingly rational people who are convinced that making guns illegal would keep them out of the hands of criminals, I would ask this:
How well has making drugs illegal kept people from getting illegal drugs?

*I don't think the My Little Pony Rifle counts.
