Vaccine-Induced Disease

In 2017, a group published a rapid means of identifying natural versus vaccine-induced measles, which is an important distinction during an outbreak; if the outbreak is due to a vaccine, it can be made worse by doing more vaccinations. From the authors:

During measles outbreak investigations, rapid detection of measles vaccine reactions is necessary to avoid unnecessary public health interventions.

I include this here because most people probably aren't aware of how easily a vaccine can itself produce an outbreak of a disease, and that outbreak subsequently being used as a rationale to push for more vaccinations.
