Coffee
We now have coffee brewing! You can forage for coffee beans, grind them up and brew coffee in a still that will give you a boost that raises your skill gain. The length of time the buf is active depends on the quality of coffee. (Just like in real life!)
You can also plant the beans to grow your own coffee plants if you'd like to produce coffee on a larger scale.
To make a quality cup of coffee, you'll need to have, or have friends with, a variety of skills:
- Carpentry (minimum of 40) to make the planter.
- Farming to harvest good beans.
- Milling (minimum of 10) to get a consistent grind.
- Beverages to complete the brew.
If making coffee isn't your thing, visit one of the coffee shops on each server to get your fix.
Taking a few sips of coffee will give you a skill learning buf. You get up to a 100 percent increase after taking 5 sips (20 for each sip). It doesn't matter if the coffee is hot or cold. When used in conjunction with your sleep bonus, it gives up to quadrupled skill gain.
Coffee and it's components suffer very little decay.
You can see how much time is left on your caffeine bonus by displaying the Spell Effects window from the Hud Settings menu. The effect is paused while your character is logged off.
