Skiing Information
Before you attempt to make your first ski run, be sure to familiarize yourself with the trail markers and their meanings, otherwise you could find yourself badly injured or worse. If needed, there is a first aid station at the bottom of Paramedic Plunge where supplies are stocked by alchemist Abercrombie, near the ski lift base.
The ski lift itself will quickly take you to the top of the runs and the lodge. You will find it very convenient when using the slopes.
Timing Your Runs
When you approach the start of either slope, you will see a message similar to Entering the <slope name> Starting Area in your event window. Once you leave that tile, you will see Leaving the <slope name> Starting Area, with the time stamp for your starting time. Subtract this from the Entering the Finish Line Area message time at the bottom of the run to get your time.

Trail Markers
At the top of each run, is a tall flag whose color indicates the maximum severity of the course. At the moment, there are two Blue runs and one Black course.
Along each course at various intervals are banners that mark major changes to the course slopes. The color of these banners are a guide to how you can safely travel that section.
| Color | Description of Segment |
|---|---|
| White | You will not slide; to progress, you must Push. |
| Green | You will slowly slide downhill. It is usually safe to Push forward. |
| Blue | You should just Slide to prevent injuries. You may be able to Push briefly to gain a little speed, but prolonged pushes will undoubtedly cause a lot of bruising. |
| Black | Very dangerous. You should Pull Back while on this section. |
