Social Networking Alternatives

Some Alternatives to Twitter and FaceBook, roughly ordered by the frequency I use them. Some of these look pretty good, but I haven't investigated all of them yet. You can find me on the ones I use at @BSuttonDC.
- gab.com - Almost completely uncensored, they have their own servers and a reliable ISP. Probably my favorite, for their independence and free speech philosophy. It's also the oldest of the alternative platforms, and is not under the thumb of big tech since they don't use app stores for distribution. However, understand that because of this, they attract a lot of trolls (probably covert government actors) that post garbage, hoping to trigger calls to shut down the platform.
- GETTR - "Get Together" - Led by Jason Miller, formerly a spokesman for the Trump campain. Financed by a supposed Chinese dissident and billionaire. The go-to platform for Steve Bannon's Warroom. This is a pretty popular platform.
- CloutHub.com - I've been impressed with this one. A statement I received from their support people: "We are not dependent on any particular cloud service and we can not be taken down like Parler."
The have instant messaging and groups. - Truth Social - Donald Trump's network. Many high profile people on board.
- wimkin.com - Stands for World Must KNow. Very uncensored, very nice interface and features, relatively new still, still struggling with stability sometimes.
- mewe.com - Not sure how this one will fare under censorship pressure.
- fightingbackuncensored.com - This is pretty new, haven't done much here yet. They abbreviate their name FBUncensored, cute.
- FreeTalk - from One America News network.
- Sharfly.com - A first-amendment based Facebook alternative, based in Nevada. They have their own servers, and are funded by member donations.
- iPatriot.io - "Where like minded patriots come together."
- CaucusRoom.com - "Freedom's Neighborhood"
- usa.life - "The answer to Facebook and Twitter censoring Conservatives, Christians and Liberty."
- SpeakYourMindHere.com - A conservative free-speech site.
- Spreely - "Spreely is the social media platform for free people." They have an app on the App Store and Google Play, which makes me wonder how "free" the platform really is.
- parler.com - I don't trust them anymore. They seem too keen on knuckling under to big tech.
